How It Started
In 2014, founder Emma Chen found herself overwhelmed in her own kitchen. Despite years of reading cookbooks and watching cooking shows, she lacked the fundamental skills to cook with confidence. When she finally took a hands-on class at a local school, everything changed.
That experience planted a seed. Emma realised that practical, technique-focused cooking education was hard to find in Australia. Most classes were either performance-based demonstrations or intimidating professional programmes. There was nothing in between for everyday home cooks who simply wanted to get better.
She started Prairie Bridge with a simple mission: create approachable culinary education that meets people where they are and helps them grow at their own pace.
